As one of the major sponsors, CIB group participated in the LibreOffice conference, which took place this year in Rome. An exclusive venue - a historical building in the Capitol Hill of the city center - and an unexpectedly high number of participants made this event conference truly remarkable. More than 200 experts from all over the world came to share their ideas during community meetings, workshops, and presentations.
There were a lot of news and updates on LibreOffice 6, which will be released next year. Among the main discussion points were also the possibility of international collaboration, solution-oriented results among users and developers, and other. Many state institutions have shown their interest in LibreOffice, with the organizer itself, the city of Rome, currently shifting its computers to open source software.
